My favourite team is the Montreal Canadiens.
Coming from Toronto, being a Canadiens fan is a sin, and I never hear the end of the harassment from my friends from back home. My father was born in Montreal and I grew up watching them, and its a cause of many heated arguments.
Although its people gave me a hard time for my hockey affiliations, growing up in Toronto was an unreal experience for me. I was given the opportunity to learn a lot about many different cultures. It is among the most multicultural cities in the world. Just by my house, I was at a corner where China Town, Little Italy, and Little Portugal all met. The kind of people I met, the festivals I attended, and the foods I ate while in Toronto offered me an amazing experience. Over the summer, there is a different festival every weekend. From the Tastes of Danforth (a Greek Festival) to the Junction Arts Festival (a street fair to show case amateur artists), I as able to learn a lot and see so many cool things. I am very grateful for the city I grew up in. Feel free to check it out for yourself: http://www.toronto.ca
I am for the first time moving away from the city I grew up in, and it has been a hard adjustment for me. I like to keep up with news from back home, and I often read the Torontoblog. It has updates and news from around my community. I like to keep up with things so I am not behind when I go back home Here is a link to the blog: http://www.blogto.com/
For this course I want to be able to have a better understanding of computers and technology. In the professional world we are living in today a clear understanding of technology is the key to being successful. I hope this class offers us those tools to move us ahead in the working world
Alex very good blog I liked it a lot. I like that you are considering law as a career. Law is very interesting and can as a very useful tool to know when you get into the business world. Are you currently taking any law classes here at Nichols? Coming from Canada and living in Massachusetts is it very different and was it hard to adjust? I do have to disagree with you on your favorite NHL team mines the Flyers and well we are just better. I looked at your link and from the link and hearing about Toronto it sounds like a very multicultural place with a lot business opportunities. I lived in Texas for about three years of my life and my favorite food is mexican. Since you lived in a place where it seemed to have four different cultures next to each other, what is your favorite?
